Mini dental implants are similar to traditional implants but are normally used for smaller spaces or patients that naturally have smaller teeth. Mini implants are smaller in size compared to traditional implants, and because they are smaller are a less expensive option.

The abutment and anchor are made of one piece and are smaller. Once this piece is installed in the jaw, the crown is then secured on top. With mini implants the tops protrude out of the gums, and this provides the base for crowns or dentures.

Mini implants are a faster procedure compared to traditional implants. They are durable and a good permanent solution for patients with smaller spaces or smaller teeth. Recovery time is less with mini dental implants, and patients can return to their daily routine shortly after the procedure.

Benefits of Mini Dental Implants:

  • The procedure is not as involved compared to the traditional implant procedure.
  • Bone grafting is usually not needed with mini dental implants, and this helps with cost and recovery.
  • The implants are smaller, and so is the crown used so they usually cost less compared to traditional dental implants.

Mini implants are durable and reliable just like traditional dental implants. Our team will meet with each patient to determine if they are a good candidate for mini dental implants. We want our patients to get the smile they have always dreamed of, and will work with each patient to discuss all options available.

CEREC crowns are used for patients that have a cracked, broken, or injured tooth. They can also be used for dental implants. CEREC crowns are created the day of your appointment using in house computer aided technology. This allows our dentist to create the perfect fit, and provides quick and long lasting results in one appointment.

Typically crowns need more than one appointment, and temporary crowns are used while the patient waits for the permanent crown to be created and installed. CEREC crowns eliminate the need for multiple appointments, and can get patients their new crown that same day giving them the smile they have always wanted.

CEREC crowns are made out of durable ceramic or resin and are built to last for years. On average CEREC crowns last anywhere between 10-15 years or more if taken care of.

If you grind or clench your teeth we may recommend a mouthguard to prevent damage to the crown. Grinding or clenching your teeth can create damage, and cause the crown to deteriorate faster.

Good oral hygiene habits help to keep your crown looking and feeling healthy. Not only are CEREC crowns aesthetically pleasing, they are comfortable in the mouth.

Dental implants give patients the bright white smile they have always dreamed of. With implants there are a few different types to choose from at our office. We want our patients to be happy with their smile, and will help each patient choose the best option that fits their needs.

Traditional Dental Implants:

With traditional implants, multiple appointments are required. We recommend implants to patients that have cracked, broken, or missing teeth. Typically there are two steps with dental implants. The first step is to place the implant in the jawbone. Once this is done there is healing time that is needed to allow the implants to fuse to the jawbone. If the patient does not have enough bone present to support the implants, a bone graft procedure can be done.  The healing process usually takes a few months.

Once the healing process is complete, an abutment or connector is used, and is placed on top of the implant. A custom crown is then secured to the implant giving the patient a beautiful smile. The custom crowns are sized, shaped, and colored to match each patient’s natural teeth.

Implants last upwards of 15 years or even a lifetime if they are taken care of properly. They are durable and in most cases are stronger than our natural teeth. On average the healing process for implants takes between four to six months for the entire process.

Teeth in a Day:

Teeth in a day is another implant option we offer at our office. This option provides implants to patients in just one appointment. All of the equipment is in our office, and our doctor can place the implants while you are comfortably sedated and relaxed.

Teeth in a day involves four implants that are placed at the top or bottom of your mouth depending on each patient’s needs. Implants for each tooth are not needed with this option, and temporary crowns may be used if needed. Once the healing process has completed, patients may need to return to have permanent crowns installed.

Teeth in a day are durable and reliable, and give patients the smile they have always wanted in just one appointment. Our staff will meet with you to discuss the options, and determine if you are a good candidate for teeth in a day.
